How much does it cost?
Design projects come in all shapes and sizes therefore costs can vary greatly.  Typically, the bare minimum I start at is $179.00 USD.  Small projects usually range between $500 – $2,000 USD.  Mid size design projects and websites range between $2,000 – $10,000 USD.  Larger scale design projects can average between $10,000 – $25,000 USD.  My creative capabilities cover a vast amount of design areas and so do the prices.  You are 100% guaranteed satisfaction.  Please see my lists of services for an idea of what I can do for you.  Then contact me for a quote.

Designing a brand identity requires a certain number of steps and research that goes beyond sitting down at a computer to design a logo.  It’s not just drawing up a pretty little logo.  Usually, the market needs to researched, the competition needs to be evaluated and steps need to be taken to ensure the brand identifies with the target market and demographics.  Preparing a packaging design for a shelf product involves a great deal of communication with the client, measuring, researching materials preparing mockups samples.  Building a website based on a brand identity is another complicated project.  A plan needs to be made so that all the materials used match the look of the brand.  The bigger the brand, the more cross reference of materials there will be and the more people need to be informed of the identity in other to stay consistent throughout.  The marketing campaigns that offer the best results are the ones that remain consistent throughout the entire range of mediums.  Those that look consistent throughout including the logo, website, brochures, catalog, social media and other advertising materials are the ones that offer the most return for your investment.

Do you price-match?
You get what you pay for.  The same way that you get a better car when you buy a quality brand that costs more, you get a better design when you value quality.  An audition goes both ways.  Not only does the customer choose who to buy from, I choose who I work with.  I’m not selling wholesale goods here.  I’m providing a quality professional service that has been valued and respected by many for over 10 years.  So, in short, no I do not price-match.

How long will it take?
It really depends on the type of project.  A photo touch up can often be done within a few days.  A logo design takes about 2 weeks.  More intricate or larger project average 2-4 weeks.  Smaller websites can take anywhere from 3-5 weeks.  Large scale websites or multi-page literature layouts and catalogs can often take up to 90 days.  I’ve even worked on projects that between multiple photo shoots for over 200 photos, color-correction, photo-clipping, layout and design of 100 pages and proofreading have taken about 120-150 days to complete.

What file types can you provide?
I can provide just about any file format you need.  More often than not, it depends on the type of project.  For logos and other vector designs I usually provide a version in Adobe Illustrator™ (.ai) and another in Adobe Acrobat™ (.pdf) for easy accessibility.  Additionally, I usually provide a hi-res and a low-res JPEG (.jpg) for the client’s ease of use.  For photo work I provide Adobe Photoshop™ (.psd) files as they work well with all the other suite of applications.  However, if you prefer I can provide industry standard TIFF (.tif) files.  For layout projects usually the output files are PDF.  Small, one or two page layouts, are usually done in Illustrator for which I can provide both AI or PDF files.  Larger layouts are done in Adobe InDesign™.  For those larger layout projects I can provide a final InDesign package with all the links and fonts included, and/or a PDF export file ready for press.  If you have any special requirements for file types, such as legacy files please feel free to ask.

What payment types do you accept?
I accept deposit and final balance payments by check, bank wire transfer or Paypal.  If you would like to pay with a credit card you can use Paypal as the means of credit card payment.  I work with people from around the world, but payment must be provided in USD (United States Dollar).  I reserve the right to accept or deny checks.  Checks must clear before scheduling the project or before providing the final export files.

Why do you require a 50% deposit and signing of a contract before scheduling projects?
I take my work very seriously and I hold it in high regard.  Requiring a 50% deposit and a contract not only protects me, but protects all my clients.  When a deposit is placed and a contract signed it ensures the client is 100% committed to the project.  This results in a more productive time of working together and ensures that I don’t end up wasting my time on a dead-end project.  This in turn protects my other client’s time as well.  I don’t end up working on unproductive jobs that might take away time from my other clients. Additionally, everybody’s money is safe and I can work with more peace of mind in order to fully concentrate on the task at hand.  If you are at all unsure about making a deposit, please read my testimonials.

Did you go to design school?
I did.  In 2002 I graduated with a Magna Cum Laude honor level Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts from the state University of Puerto Rico.  Soon after, I attended an intensive Photoshop training course at the University of Sacred Heart.  Since then, I have also completed various seminars and courses in the field of design, art and photography.  The most notable of these, a weeklong seminar at the Institute of Visual Arts in Maui, Hawaii with Photoshop great, Eddie Tapp.  The following year, I completed another weeklong course with Digital Imaging Evangelist for Adobe Systems, Julieanne Kost also at the same institute in Maui.  More importantly, I have been designing non-stop since 1999 and have been able to turn my education into real-world successful business experience.
